ICLW is here again!

Hey internets...welcome for ICLW! If you're new, my history is on the left side--both our TTC and adoption journeys. For those both new and old, we are officially no more than two weeks from meeting our Baby Girl (better known as Baby Tulip) who is due March 7 via an amazing couple who chose us to adopt their daughter. CA - RAY - ZEE!!! Good job on guessing the surprise! I thought it would just be more fun that way then just telling everyone straight out. Yes we have a name, and No we will not share it until she is in our arms in our home. I haven't decided yet if I plan to post it here, but if not I will most likely be open to sharing it via email directly. Even BigTex is excited beyond words. I cannot believe that my life, OUR LIFE, will hopefully be turned upside down in such a short time. Wow. I mean, Wow.

Yesterday we drove the 2 hours down south to meet with our EPs for the afternoon. We walked around a great mall, in and out of all the kids' stores, awing over the Easter dresses and little newborn girls' clothing. We had a late lunch/early dinner and then spent about another hour wandering around Best.Buy before EM had had enough. She was tired, her feet and back were sore and I think it was just enough time together. The next time we see them it will be in the hospital.

I have lots of thoughts about yesterday, and I plan to write them down in a letter to Baby sometime today. I really want to document how we felt, what we talked about, things that were said. If I can give this one gift to Tulip when she is big enough to understand, I am hoping that it will mean a lot to her to know how much love and consideration went into the biggest, most influential event in her life.

The EPs also gave us four more ultrasound pictures--2 showing her face. It looks like she has a cute, full lower lip and she might have even been smiling. Oh, how I can't wait to meet her!!!

She's coming! I loved the way you set up the reveal. You totally got me too as I had to reread to find the clue! So are you all set? Do you have everything you need?

i still didn't find the clue :/ unless it's just that you switched your ticker?
im admittedly a little slow these days though :)

so excited for you and your husband. i can't wait until baby tulip is home with you!
it sounds like you found a favorable situation for all and im so glad you all have some common ground. it sounds like they enjoy spending time with you as much as you enjoy your time with them...it seems like a perfect match.

what better way for little tulip to come into the world than with so many who love and want the best for her? she's a lucky lil girl already

That is nice that you live "close enough" that you are able to visit (although I think we all know that two hours in bad weather is not close at all!).
