We've been really having fun--fun things in the community, big football games on TV, great IRL friends. Can't really ask for much more this time of year. We are very thankful for all we have and all we can do.

Changing topics. Just got home from New.Moon. While I wasn't blown away because I'd seen most of the trailers/scene previews, I was pleased. And it only fueled my Team Jacob love even more. I get the whole Bella-will-always-love-Edward thing, and that Jacob will never be hers to love anyway (cause we know how this all ends if you've read the books). But, my heart has been with Jacob since the first time I read the series over a year ago. There it shall remain.

I suppose since it is ICLW I should have some monumental post, something deep and focused. But I. Got. Nothing. I'm loving twit.ter these days because of it. It really is about all I can muster to get 140 characters out. In addition to trying to keep distracted we're also dealing with some sad things. Currently, my almost-90 year old grandfather is declining rapidly following a hip fracture and surgery. He is now in hospice care and we're waiting to see if things will progress slowly or if we might be flying to Nebraska for his funeral sometime in the next few days. My sick kitty has had the full workup and the good news is that no one can find anything wrong with her. She is just getting picky at mealtime and we don't know why. She's lost a pound in the past four months with no known cause. We are just in wait-and-see mode here too. My other kitty is also kinda skinny, to the point where I feel like just taking him in for a workup. BigTex thinks I'm just paranoid and I suppose since I'm not really focusing on much else, I might be overreacting.
Couple this with going through another holiday season with no baby and you might understand my obession with vampires/werewolves, SYTYC.D, music, and twe.eting. And I'm working. I guess.
No awesome ICLW post here. Sorry, maybe next time.
