Well, we're now into the second trimester of our wait. I spoke with our agency SW (sidebar--amazing, she called back the same day I left a message!) and she said that October was actually slower for them than the past few months. I don't know about that because we watch the website and see when people are matched and placed. They update weekly and it sure seems like a bunch had action over the past few weeks. Either way, we continue to simply battle time. If nothing else, we are now #30 on the list, we started out at #43 fourteen weeks ago. At an average of one placement per week (which is what they are doing) we have about another 7 months to go. Last year the average wait-time for families from activation to placement was 10.5 months. So we are right on par with that. It's only time, right?
We're still hoping that our level of openness for a match will decrease that amount of time. We have not been shown in hard copy, but two of the agency SW who deal with the expectant moms don't even use hard copy anymore. They just use the online versions, and they don't have any way to know whether it is an expectant family or you looking at the profiles online. So again, this info isn't worth much.
So, since we have so much time on our hands we are getting away this weekend for some fun at my alma mater. We're meeting a bunch of my college friends there and it is shaping up to be a raucus couple of days. Go STATE, beat the Buckeyes!

Thanks for sharing your agency's #'s...we don't get a whole lot of that. Back in February, our agency had put out something saying the "average" wait was 14 months with a minimal wait of 0 months and a maximum of 36 (and we haven't heard anything else since)...gee...that helps oh so much... Have a good weekend out!!
