Thanks for the comments on my last post--it's exactly how BigTex and I were feeling, so I did call our SW again today and left another message. Boy was I surprised when she called back like an hour later! She IS alive!
She was very pleasant (although there was no acknowledgement of my previous messages) and she is taking care of something for us as we speak, I hope. She also was able to tell us that in the 7 weeks we have been active, our hardcopy profile has not been shown at all. She said that didn't mean the online one hadn't been looked at (there is no way to know if or how many birth families have viewed it v. the general public), but at least the hard copy had not been handed out.
Which brings me to my second question for you...
Would you prefer to have your profile shown zero times (so zero chance of rejection) or be shown several times but that means that you hadn't been the right match/selected by the birth family?
I think I am fine with not having been shown. It just means my kiddo is still cooking, right? Anyway, I feel MUCH better after having spoken to the SW and hopefully, we'll get our other issue addressed quickly and then we will be able to just wait for the next 4-6 weeks in relative peace.

We are thinking of adoption in the future, and you pose a really good question. I think I would rather have my profile shown, I think. I hope the next week is a good one.
Happy ICLW
I think in your case it means that your little one is out there, and your profile will be shown at the right time, to the right person.
I'd rather we were shown a lot - in the end, it gives us a far higher chance of being picked, and it means that all those emoms who saw our profile, but who we weren't right for, had a bigger pool of paps to choose from, which can only be a good thing.
Hmmm... I think I'd prefer my profile to be shown and rejected, because then at least I'd know the agency is doing their job and hasn't forgotten me! Are you using a private agency?
Happy ICLW!
Well... the more women it's shown to the greater your chance of someone choosing you. Sure there'll be some rejections but I'd think that's better than not even getting a chance... I hope you get matched with that special lady soon and get your little one.
Best of luck and happy ICLW!
