My bubble was burst just a bit when the Dr. called to give me the go-ahead to start the stims (E2 was 18). He then said that we'd talk about moving forward on Wednesday based on my progress up to that point. He'd like to see at least 4 follies by then but I didn't clarify what he meant--bigger than 10? total? With less than that he said we'd probably call off the cycle. Now, I know he is just trying to prep me and I should have clarified with a couple of follow-up questions, but I was in the grocery store and didn't have any of my papers in front of me. When I got home I checked on the details from last cycle--I had 3-4 follies around 12 and 13-15 more under 10 when I went in from my first check. I ended up with 10 mature eggs at retrieval. What do you think? I shouldn't worry, right? And I am in control of this cycle, so if we want to continue and there is no indication that the outcome will be different than last time, we should be able to, right? Sorry for the mini-freak out. I don't want to have anxiety going through this entire IVF and all Dr. did was plant the seed of doubt in my mind.
Any suggestions for making those follicles grow? Thought I'd try fun socks, for sure. Any chants, perhaps? I think I'll steal Emily's grow follies grow!!!!
Happy Valentine's Day
