The Big Day

Today marks two big milestones in our lives--Tulip is 3 months old today (oh my!) and I am fully back at work, which means Tulip starts "school" today (also known to some as daycare). I'm hanging in there, mostly because I know that she will be in good hands, but I keep adding things to my list of "things the teachers must know or else Tulip will be out of sorts." I know full well that it will take at least a week or two to adjust, and they will have to figure one another out as they go. Can't I just go and stay at school with her? It'd be much easier that way!

As for work, I think I mentioned that it looks like I will be receiving an offer to work for the new company when/if this deal ever closes. The timeframe we've been given to transition will likely be mid-July. I am so very thankful to have a job that I am trying not to be too disappointed that it will not be doing what I'm doing now. It will be similar, but I will probably lose almost all my current customers and have to start over at square one. I won't have any overnight travel that I can tell, so that is a plus I guess. In the meantime, I am supposed to keep my nose to the ground, work hard this month and try to earn as much bonus for Q2 as possible. Given that I will only qualify for a third of that bonus, I have a lot of work to do to get there!

Well, Tulip is waking from her post-breakfast nap so it's time to get her ready for her first day at school. Do you think anyone would mind if I threw some Bail.ey's in with my coffee? KIDDING, of course.

But the bottle of wine in my fridge won't last long tonight when I get home, that's for sure!

That's great that the company is willing to keep you on: As you said, a job is a job.

I didn't get to comment on the other post, but Tulip is absolutely precious!

Thinking about you guys as "School" starts today.

I hope everything went well today. I know it couldn't have been easy leaving that cute little munchkin! Hang in there!

Hope the first week went okay for both of you. It will take her some time to adjust.
